Femke Geerken | TRAINEE
My name is Femke Geerken and I did my bachelor's in Psychology at Utrecht University, where I completed a minor in Social Neuroscience and investigated motivation-related reward processing using EEG for my thesis. That project sparked a deeper interest in motivation and control, which is what drew me to this lab. I am currently a second-year student in the Cognitive Neuroscience master's program at Radboud University.
For my master's thesis, I am joining the Neuromodulation of Control Beliefs project, working with Marwan Engels. Together, we will investigate how transcranial ultrasound stimulation (TUS) targeting the medial prefrontal cortex (mPFC) and striatum afffects controllability estimation and (mal)adaptive behavioral strategy selection. I am excited to be part of this lab and looking forward to working on this project!
